About the VTA Open
The VTA Open 2026 is the flagship event of Vietnamese Tennis Australia — a premier competitive tournament bringing together elite and aspiring players from across Victoria and beyond. Held at the prestigious Rosamond Tennis Club in Maribyrnong, the tournament delivers a world-class competitive experience across multiple divisions.
Now in its third year, the VTA Open has grown into one of Melbourne's most anticipated community tennis events, celebrating both the sport and the Vietnamese-Australian community's passion for tennis.
How It Works
Tournament Format
The VTA Open 2026 uses a structured format designed to maximise competitive play and ensure every participant gets meaningful court time.
Group Stage
Players are drawn into round-robin groups. Every player is guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches regardless of results.
Knockout Rounds
Top performers from each group advance to single-elimination knockout rounds, culminating in semi-finals and finals.
Finals Day
All division finals are played on the main show court on the afternoon of 19 September 2026, with prize presentations to follow.

Tournament Day
Rules & Regulations
- All matches are played under ITF Rules of Tennis.
- Match format: Best of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set (7-point tiebreak).
- No-Ad scoring may be used in group stage matches at the referee's discretion.
- Players must be ready to play within 10 minutes of their scheduled match time or risk a walkover.
- All players must be registered and have paid their entry fee prior to the tournament.
- Players are responsible for their own equipment. Tournament balls will be provided.
- The Tournament Director's decision is final in all disputes.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification without refund.
